My girls and I are obsessed with these cute little shaker zipper pouches! My favorite part is that, despite it having a zipper, this is a beginner level sewing project. I’ve always been so intimidated by adding a zipper to my little sewing projects, but this one was easy and it’s so cute AND functional! If you feel intimidated, don’t be. I am most definitely NOT a professional seamstress, and I honestly don’t even have that much sewing experience. So go ahead and give this craft a try!
Supplies:
- acetate sheets (4 mil)
- zippers
- thread
- heart confetti
- craft tape
- fabric scraps (these bundles are a great way to get some smaller pieces of fabric if you don’t have scraps)
- scotch tape
- wonder clips (optional – to hold pieces together while sewing)
- fray check (optional – to keep fabric pieces from fraying)
- zipper foot for sewing machine (optional – make sure these are compatible with your specific sewing machine)
- sewing machine (in case you don’t already have one)
