I’m kind of obsessed with farmhouse coasters – can you blame me? After making my Hand Stamped Farmhouse Coasters, I knew I wanted to make another set of farmhouse coasters. So here I am with a super easy tutorial to make adorable numbered coasters! Yay!
Supplies:
- Stencils – the stencils I used were discontinued, but you can click here to get some from Michaels, or you can get these from Amazon.
- Coasters – the coasters I used are no longer for sale, but you can use these coasters – and then you can just paint them white and sand them using this paint and this sand paper.
- Paint Brushes – click here for a set of bigger brushes, and click here for a set of smaller brushes to use for touch ups.
- Black Paint – click here
- Felt Pads – I bought mine at Walmart, but click here to see some similar ones from Amazon.
- Polyurethane Spray – click here to get a good option from Amazon.
- Sand Paper – click here for several sand paper options. A fine or medium grit should work well.

Instructions:
- Hold a stencil on one of the coasters and paint over the stencil.
- Continue painting numbers on each coaster.
- Use one of the smaller paint brushes to touch up any places that need it.
- Let the paint dry completely.
- Sand over the painted numbers to give them a distressed look. It’s easiest to sand in the same direction as the wood grain.
- Put felt pads on the bottom of each coaster – one in each corner.
- Spray the coasters with polyurethane spray to protect the coasters from any water damage.
- Use your adorable new coasters, and show them off to all of your friends and family!
