This is one of those crafts that I kind of stumbled into. My daughter Ellie has a severe allergy to all the metals used in earrings. The only type of earrings she can wear comfortably are plastic earrings (with plastic posts and backs). While looking for plastic earrings online, I accidentally stumbled upon plastic posts for sell. It then dawned on me that I could just make her some custom plastic earrings myself. That way I could really customize them and make earrings that I know she will love. This same tutorial can be used with stainless steel posts, sterling silver posts, etc. I have various kinds of posts linked below.
Supplies:
- E6000 adhesive/glue
- earring posts
- plastic earring posts (these are the ones I used in the video)
- stainless steel earring posts
- sterling silver earring posts
- cute embellishments/charms
- dinosaur charms
- donut charms (the exact ones I used are now sold out but these are very similar)
- candy charms
- glittery deer charms
- smiley face flower charms
- bumble bee charms
- strawberry charms
- gloves
- mask
