Pony Bead Flip Flop Keychain

The cutest little flip flop that you can carry everywhere!

Supplies:

  • pony beads
  • pony bead lacing – I used the color “frost.” You need 1 piece cut to 5 feet (60 inches) and another piece cut to 16″
  • keychain
  • gaff tape *optional* this is the tape I use to hold the keychain clips on to my table while make the keychains. This tape is very strong but does not leave behind sticky residue etc.

Flip Flop Pattern: O = Outline Color, M = Main Color, S = Strap Color

  • Row 2 – O 3M 0
  • Row 3 – O 5M O
  • Row 4 – O 6M O
  • Row 5 – O 7M O
  • Row 6 – O 6M O
  • Row 7 – O 5M O
  • Row 8 – O 5M O
  • Row 9 – O 4M O
  • Row 10 – O 4M O
  • Row 11- O 4M O
  • Row 12 – O 3M O
  • Row 13 – O O O

Straps – Use a separate 16″ piece of pony bead lacing and stick it through the middle bead in Row 2. Slide 1 bead (S – strap color) onto both pieces at the same time. This is the center/connector bead for the straps. Now put 9 beads (strap color) on each side of the pony bead lacing. Tie the left piece of lacing to the left side of the flip flop between rows 8 & 9. Now tie the right side of lacing to the right side of the flip flop between rows 8 & 9.

Tie off the bottom pieces of the pony bead lacing for the flip flop. Rather than doing one knot at the very bottom of the flip flop I chose to tie a knot on each side of the bottom of the flip flop. Ta-da! Enjoy your adorable flip flop keychain!
