DIY Pom-Pom Peace Sign Wreath

Ever since I learned how to make multiple pom-poms at one time, I’ve loved making pom-poms AND all of the pom-pom crafts! I’ve seen lots of cute pom-pom wreaths on Instagram and Pinterest, but I wanted to put a fun little spin on the traditional pom-pom wreath. So, I made a pom-pom peace sign wreath!

This wreath was intended to hang in my craft room (which is also our homeschool room right now) like you can see in the pic below.

But then my sweet 8 year old saw it, and she fell in love with it! So now it’s hanging in her room over her bed.

It’s such a fun and colorful addition to any room! And the best part is that you can totally customize it and make it whatever colors you want. It can be tons of different colors like mine, or you can just use one or two colors!

Supplies:

  • yarn to make pom-poms. I used 158 pom-poms. (before making the wreath I made pom-poms out of 23 different yarn colors, making 7 pom-poms in each color)
  • scissors
  • chair/stool (for making the pom-poms) – just find a chair or stool around your house that you can tie the yarn around.
  • 18″ floral craft ring
  • cardboard scraps
  • jumbo wood craft sticks
  • hot glue gun- you can get one from Michaels here, or one from Amazon here

Before we get to the instructions I want to be upfront with you and let you know that making this many pom-poms (I used 158 pom-poms) takes hours. This craft is a little time intensive, and it’s not something you can do while watching your favorite tv show because you really need to be looking at what you’re doing. But it’s a super fun and cute craft, so don’t let that stop you! I listened to some audiobooks through Chirp Books while making my pom-poms so that I could be entertained while still fully focusing on what I was doing.

Chirp Books was nice enough to sponsor my DIY Pom-Pom Peace Sign Wreath video and give all of you $5 OFF your first purchase with the code CRAFTY5. Click here to shop Chirp’s audiobooks. They have amazing deals on audiobooks, and without any of those annoying subscription fees! So go ahead and grab yourself an audiobook, buy all the yarn, and enjoy making your pom-poms and your pom-pom peace sign wreath!
