How to Finger Knit a Trivet

Not only are these trivets cute and functional, but they are super easy and fun to make! This is a beginner level finger knitting project – no finger knitting experience required!

Supplies:

  • macrame rope (this is the cording I used in the video – 6mm natural color)
  • colored macrame rope (this is what I used to make the burnt orange trivet shown in the video)
  • another colored macrame rope option
  • braided cording (not twisted rope) – this is more like the sash cording I mentioned in the video. Please be aware that this will give your trivets a very different look from the trivets I made using the twisted rope.
